My mothers old singer sewing machine has pretty much had it, and I don't want to take it to be repaired. I am planning on buying a new sewing machine, but I don't really know what to look for since I am just a beginner sewer! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was looking on the walmart website for some sewing machines, and found these that seem pretty good. Anyone have any thing to say about these machines, or things to watch out for, and things to make sure the sewing machine has?
