hand held sewing machines

does anyone out there know anything about those new handheld-carry-with-you-anywhere sewing machines? i'm wondering where to buy them, how expensive they are, and if they work effectively. i've never sewn before, so i'm not even sure if they are appropriate for beginners but i'm not really looking to do anything difficult, just altering t-shirts and stuff. thanks to anyone who has any advice!
