Jul. 27th, 2003 01:14 pmSo I was driving to Michael's when I saw some boxes on the street outside an apartment complex. I decided to go have a look, and I ended up finding what looked like a yellow, slightly scratched plate from the Depression glassware era. I was pretty stoked, and put it in my car, along with a leather bag and some picture frames. I kind of forgot about the plate in my trunk for a while, but curiousity finally got the better of me. I wanted to know, do I have a real plate from the 30s or a 70s reproduction. I brought it in and my mom and I researched it (she's a depression nut too, since she inherited all her mom's pieces) and it turns out that I do have the real deal! It's a 10½" Patrician dinner plate, made by the Federal Glass Co.
(this one is green, mine's yellow)

This is the Diana pattern, incidentally.
