shoe reconstruction + odor remedies
Jul. 29th, 2003 07:45 pmi have these shoes
that i've had since 9th grade that i don't really want to get rid of b/c they're still in good condition, but i hate how there's just too much white on there. maybe it's b/c they still look kinda new, but whatever it is, it's blech. the really really white eyelets look horrible when i add black shoe laces onto them too. -any- suggestions on what i can do to it? (sorry for the low quality pic...i'm too lazy to bust out the digi cam)
also, does anyone know if it's safe to wash your shoes in the washing machine (& i don't mean something like converse shoes)? i have some suede sneakers that just REEK from being in water + snow + everything. it's kinda like the smell you get on your towels if you don't change them after a week, but MUCH worse. perfume doesn't even help...it ends up mixing the two smells together & it just kills me. h e l p =/
