i spied this really lovely vintage handkerchief while thrifting the other day, and since it was less than a dollar i couldnt let just leave it there looking so lonely among the other fabric handkerchiefs! so i bought it, and now im sitting here staring at it (which is nice, since its so pretty), but i feel like i should put it to good use. i have no desire to use it for its original purpose (to me that seems even sacreligious!), and its not big enough to use as a hair wrap or anything. its a square (about 16 inches on the diagonal) of thin cotton, with red and white polka dots, sweet blue flowers, and blue edging (but it isnt red white and blue in the cheesy patriotic way). all i can think of so far is to wrap it around my ponytail, but that would be kind of pointless since it would obscure the pattern. ive seen a thing online for turning handkerchiefs into underwear, but it really doesnt look like its big enough, even though the site says it should work. so sorry for wasting so much space over a silly piece of cloth, but i really want to know if theres anything to do with it other than just look!
