Gradient on fabric?

Hi. This isn't actually pumpsnail, this is her sister.. heh I just have one quick question. I need to make a gradient on fabric from golden yellow to dark red. The cloth I'm using is 100% cotton, and I was assuming I should dye it, but I'm not sure how to make the gradient.. here's a picture of how I would like it to look:
