I want to re-decorate my room with out having to do a drastic costly change. My room right now has white walls with buttercup yellow valances and quilt. Not really my color anymore. Im not a girly girl and the yellow looks funny with all my punk/emo posters on the wall.

Im thinking of changing the color scheme to purple black and white. White being the walls, purple and black being the pillows, quilt and curtains. I want to make a ptachwork quilt cover and i was just wondering how i should go about making it. I was also thinking of buying this sheer dark purple fabric to make curtains and finding (or making) little black stars to sew on or iron on to the curtains.

I dont have much money (actually none) but i do have a birthday comming up so i'm sure i am going to get some money or gift certificates. Does anyone have any ways to re-decorarte without spending 100's of dollars? Or any ideas that will help my re-decorating porject?
