checkered trousers!

Hi everyone, forgive my lack of posts to this community (not that you noticed/care but nevermind.) i have been watching all the posts though!


i just wanted to post this pic of my checkered trousers that i finished last night. They were my first trouser creation, so obviously they're not perfect but okay for my standard :D

my mum is one of those sewing geniuses, so she knows how to make practically anything from memory/by observing an item of clothing. so she basically fed me all the instructions and let me get on with it etc. &i asked her whenever i got stuck with something. i wish i was as clever as my mum ♥.

i messed up the sewing so many times, so i often had to take all the stitching out and start again. Very frustrating but well worth it!#

i have a load of that purple plaid fabric left as well, what should i use it for? i was thinking maybe i'll try to make a skirt (to add to my evergrowing collection of checkered pleated miniskirts!!) or something, maybe a vest top. Xxx
