Gift Idea needed

craftgrrlOkay, so my future brother-in-law is having a bday party for his daughter (Yay! I get to be an aunt!) on Sunday. She's turning 3 I think, maybe 4 but I'm almost positive its 3. I don't have a whole lot of money with paying for wedding stuff and such, but I want to be a cool aunt, or at least future aunt, and get her something for her bday. I'm afraid if I don't then my fiance's family will think that I'm rude or something and not wanting to act like part of the family.
What can I do for a 3 year old? She's not very girly that I know of, but she's the sweetest, most adorable thing ever! I don't want to do anything too elaborate because that means I have to do something similar for the other kids, and I don't have a whole lot of time, so I'd like it to be something simple.... any ideas?
