i wanted something with substantial pages for my new traveling journl. i found a drawing pad at michael's on super cheap sale and grabbed it. after the first person got the journal the cover started coming off because it was kinda thin so this is what i did...
you will need:
*metal ringed drawing book [the kind that has the metal wire wrapped around in a circular way going through lots of holes on the pages/covers
*pencil
*x-acto
*cereal/cracker/etc box

1. carefully pull the wire apart so that you can take out all the pages and covers...don't pull apart more than half an inch so that it will be easier to push back together.
2. hrow away the original front cover, put the pages aside and keep the [thick] back cover in front of you.
3. carefull pull the box apart so that it all lies flat.
4. place the back cover ontop of the brown/boring side of the box and trace inside the holes of the cover with the pencil.
5. cut all of the holes out with the x-acto
6. put the book back together
YAY new book cover!!! the first one i did the front cover/cereal box was upside down x.x just pay close attention when you start tracing the holes hehe.
