product of one of my last summer days:

just sitting around my mom suggested i do something productive (like i'm ever not! psh!), so after some discussion we went to check out chalkboard paint. it was reasonably priced so we bought it and came home. i taped out a simple star using a star cut out as a template (my mom being the math teacher, it was really easy to do) any stnadard star, not artistic or anything, has all equal sides, and if you enlarge a shape, only the side lengths change, so i cut out the tiny star and held it up after i taped one side to get the angle of the next, then i just placed on a foot long piece of painting tape and did the same thing. it was really hard to get it straight so i turned it. about an hour and 2 coats of paint later, it was done. i had to wait over night for it to dry, but this is the reult. i love it.

ok i dunno why the pics are so small, i'm in a rush so i'll try editing them later. (the chalkboard said 'craftgrrl', just for my favourite community ;))
