oof, i finally got pics. i was inspired by the purse-out-of-jeans idea i saw here a while back... so i made my own, with a few variations. here's the front:

i basically cut off the bottom of a pantleg, made a flap (it closes with velcro) and sewn on a patch. the patch came from an old t-shirt... the strap i made from a piece of fabric from the length of the pantleg and used beltloops from the same jeans and key rings to attach it to the purse. here's the detail of the back, it shows this a little better:

i love thi purse now, it has replaced all the store bought ones i had. i'm thinking of making a few more soon.
