This year's legwarmers.
Made from striped knit fabric salvaged from Goodwill at a mere $3.99 CDN for roughly 3 metres. It was a steal.
This is what I did: Roughly measured the width of the top of my calf, just under my kneecap, and cut two long rectangles that slightly flared at one end. I used a stretch straight stitch to make each of the rectangles into a tube. I didn't bother to hem either end since I really enjoy how the fabric doesn't fray but rolls instead.
It was very simple and took me less than 10 minutes to make.
