Jul. 16th, 2002 03:13 pmI was just asked if I'm still doing zines, and YES, I still am!!
I am no longer doing most of the contribution zines that I wanted to do. They would have been crappy in length with the contributions I actually had, and besides, I came up with
Cheese Dough - it's a contribution driven, pen pal & diy zine, with anything goes as it's truest theme! I'm working on the first issue, and I had it almost all the way done, and unfortunately my disk crapped out on me!! Waah! I do have a hard copy on my computer here at home, BUT I haven't updated the hard copy in ages, so unfortunately, it means I'm back to the drawing board with a lot of the work. And unfortunately, I don't tend to save emails of contributions, once I've added it to the zine, I usually delete the email... so, I'm really screwed as far as that is concerned!!
I'm looking for more articles along a pen paling & DIY theme. I have lots of articles on thrifting, yard sales (did have one I wrote on flea markets, but that was lost & I don't know if I'll re-write it now). auctions, road trips, recipes for wheat paste & envelope glue, paper folding, scrapbooking, lots of reviews, etc.
I'm looking for anything really, as long as it's roughly do-it-yourself or penpal related. I'm looking for ads especially along the lines of pen pal or DIY related (if it's a zine, it has to be pen pal or DIY related.) Ads are free, as long as they are related. I'm looking to review any DIY/pen pal zines or newsletters or websites, & if I review your stuff, or if you write an article which I include, you'll get Cheese Dough, one of my personal zines, & I"m still trying to work out other incentives for anyone willing to write an article regularly.
I do have some little info about my zines up on my webpage at http://www.therapids.net/adultramblings. More info, drop me a line here or at adultramblings@therapids.net.
Thanks so much,
Anastacia
