yay! journally goodness!
Sep. 18th, 2003 08:36 pmWell, it's finally finished, my very first handmade journal :)
I put in 20 sheets (5x7) of handmade paper (made from mostly just colored sheets I had laying around & some newspaper). The base for the cover is that thick posterboard (it's 2 pieces of posterboard with a piece of foam between them). It's about 3/16" thick. I covered it in dark red deer suede (really soft & buttery feeling!) I used 20 gauge silver wire to bind it together. Then I painted on the Kanji for "eternity" since I figure most of us write journals to immortalize events in our lives :) And finally added some cane trees for a border.
