crafty stuff
Jul. 17th, 2002 01:03 pmhello! this is my first time posting but i have lurked around for a while. The cut below leads to pictures of a bag and necklaces i've made.
the pictures are a bit blurry due to my poor camera quality.
Moxie Star Bag
this bag is reversible, with the materials contrasting on the other side (without a star). it doesn't look it in the photo, but i used cherry calico ($2.99yd) from jo-ann fabrics and demin (i bought mine for $3yd in NYC, but at jo-ann's it ranges from $7-$10yd). the top flap has a snap which closes the bag and the star pattern came from the Wingdings font. i hand-sewed the star on. you can iron it on with interfacing.

Arsenic (red) and Old Lace (blue)
these are two very easy necklaces. all i did was paint wooden charms, glued lace or ribbons on them and screwed in a screw eye so i could attach it to ribbon.
if you like the necklaces, but don't feel like being crafty, i sell them for $6 each or two for $10. just email for the information.
i would love to sell the bag, but it's an insane amount of work to crank out one of those. however, if you really really want the pattern/instructions, i'm sure we can work out a trade or something.
