Inspired by posts in this community, I've been making magnets with those flat glass beads.

It's fun to use words clipped out of magazines:

I'm also playing with making sets from origami paper, and they look great!

Does anyone know anything about screen printing, or how to go about learning how to do it? I've gotten a really mixed response from other people I've asked, some say get a kit, some say don't, and I'm officially confused.

Any thoughts?

my husband has played Magic : TG for years and has an immense collection of cards. i went through his "throwaway" box and am making him a set to use as counters in the game. here's 6. i've done 30 so far. :) i used a drafting template to pick a good circle size and drew the circles and cut the cards first. it went much faster like that.

thanks so much for this idea! has anyone tried 'tiling' with them yet? that would be my next step. i wonder how they'd set in mastic and grout.

btw, the beads were at the dollar store ($1.00 for 50) and so was the glue ($1.00 for a small tube of glass/leather/paper superglue). i couldn't believe it!

I just got onto LJ, and wanted to say hello. I moved to Orange Co. Ca about 7 months ago and I am looking for more fun ideas and people.
