I thought I was part of this community but i Guess i wasnt.

im 22 and a girl.Im getting married on mar. 26th. Ive been working in a carft strore for 2 years and ilove doing crafts...including..making jewerly, painting,decopage.

I joined last week, and I am so excited. Everyone has such awesome ideas to do. I have so many of the glass beeds. I will for sure be trying to craft with those. I love to sew, scrapbook and paint. There is so much else that I want to learn to do, but it takes time. I am glad that I joined this, I will share ideas too. I thought of hot gluing those beeds on clothing or other crafty things or house hold accesories. So I hot glued 8 glass beeds around my brass octagon mirror. I must say it added just enough color to accent the mirror. Very cool!

owning craft stores/selling crafts on the internet/selling crafts at shows

Ladies,

Do any of you own your own craft business? Do you sell crafts at shows or on the Internet?

I'm just curious because I was thinking about getting started on selling my own stuff. I am going to start out by making some hemp necklaces and bracelets, taking them to Hash Bash (it's a thing in Michigan that happens on the campus of U of M every year...basically ppl get together who are advocates for the legalization of marijuana) with me and try to sell some. I was thinking of just taking a small basket of stuff with a sign and see how I do. A lot of people sell bowls and bongs on the street that they've made, why not hemp?

So I'd just be curious to know if any of you had success (or failure) with selling your wares :)

whoever said the marble project was addictive was so right. so far ive cut out about 15 pictures.Since i dont have any mags i got the lyric/covers to Cd's and thats seems to work for me.I just found I have magnets but the only glue I have is hot glu, fabric glue, and tacky glue and decopage glue..I wanna make em now but I dont have the right kind of glue. erg.

just got an idea but im not sure it would work..instead of making those things into magnets why couldnt you just get those safety pins that have the bars on them and glue that and make them into pins? those would be hot if they worked!! i think ill go to work tommrow and buy some just to see of they work cause I love buttons.

I got this book from the library called: crafts and hobbies and it has some cool stuff in it

For making candles molds that you use would be-the container that eggs come in, but before that you get the shell of a raw egg and fill it with the wax. To get chunks to put in the candle put the hot wax in a cookie sheet and then when its hot cut it in squares.to get a round shaped candle get one of those xmas glass bals and take the medal end off and fill with wax.You can also use a milk carton too.

It tells you how to dry and preserve flowers.

Does anyone own their own pottery wheel? and how much did it cost? Does anyone make their own framed canvas boards?
