need ideas and assitance...

so i really like to embroider things, and i embroidered a blanket--actually, it's just a would-be blanket. i've never really sewn before, but i want to, and i'm trying to make a blanket. i've got two pieces of fabric and some batting, though i don't want to make it into a full-blown quilt. how do i sew it together so that it will last the longest and look the best??

Does anyone here have a garden? Ive been thinking of having one after i get married.But I know nothing about the upkeep and what grows around here or anything. anyone live in so cal around here? ;)

i got my first real piece of sculpture back last night... of course, i saw it after the first firing, but it looks so much better now that it is glazed. yay! it is a modern type of mother and child piece for my friend, diane, who collects them. i am going to give it to her on sunday.

sunday is a good day for presents, i think.




i love it when they unload a kiln of finished pieces - it's like a treasure chest. the temoku (spelled wrong) glaze shrinks, so all of the pieces with temoku were pinging and singing...

I quit my job today (ive been there for 2 years) so now I have to stalk up on crafts like mad.So the rest of my paychecks will prolly go there. today i bought:clear flat marbles, safety pins,2 things of natrual olive oil soap and some glass glue ;)
