hello hello.
i have been browsing around and spying on everyone's lovely handi-work, and i am completely inspired.
myself, i do things like sew an awful lot, and tackle bigger and smaller projects. i think i've redone just about every piece of furniture in the house that i could get my hands on.
really, i need to get some marble magnet action going. they are all so amazing!
i will post some pictures of crafties of mine soon.

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone could reccomend some sewing patterns (name brands, maybe) that are the easiest for beginners to start on. I want to start teaching myself how to make things. I know the basics on how to sew, having done straight lines, patches, and the like for years on my mom's machine. The thing that mystifies me is patterns, though: how to use them, how much fabric to buy, and so on. Any suggestions? I'd love to hear about beginners' sewing exploits.

You might actually get more out of this thinking than a clear mobile top to hold your rainbow-making crystals - that'd be a good thing. :)
