Hi everyone-

There was a fire in the place downstairs from my house yesterday, and my entire yarn stash (along with everything else) got covered with sooty smoke. Does anyone have any suggestions for laundering yarn (wool, acrylic, cotton, blends) still in skein or ball form?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

hi, i'm megan!

i was bored and cleaning out my medicine cabinet and decided to try to make some lipgloss, since a few people had posted ideas on here... it turned out nicely... i randomly added different lipsticks and glosses, and old lipsmackers and chapsticks, and surprisingly it looks kind of nice now.

but i did make a lovely mess of a cup. and lipstick and stuff tends to mark stuff up easily, so my advice to you all would be to be super careful not to stain stuff & wipe as you go. but yay! thanks for the ideas everyone!
