sewing question -

kay, i'm 18 inches away from finishing the pair of pants i was making, when the bobbin runs out of thread. i re-thread it, put it back in the bobbin holder and everything, rethread the machine, but now, no matter how hard i try, it wont raise the bobbin thread for sewing. >.<
does anyone know of anything i can do? i've finished the pants by hand, but that still doesn't help with my now useless sewing machine.

is there anyone from oahu in this community?

i have a stack of surfing magazines that i'm no longer interested in (a good portion of them haven't even been read and will probably never be) and i'm wondering if anyone wants them for anything...collages, etc...because i don't want to throw away perfectly good magazines.
some of the covers aren't looking so good because all of the address labels have been ripped off, but the rest of the pages are fine.
