I am making a scrapbook using old pictures; b/w, polaroids and colour. most of them are not very artistic or fun in themselves. it is the kids on them that are the important.
does anybody have a good idea on how to make a FUN & COOL scrapbook that isn't too much Disney or too much hippie´esque?

I'm currently sewing a pair of arm warmers by hand. I got the fabric from a blanket that I didn't need. I was wondering, what can I do to stop the fraying that is happening right now at one end? I don't have enough fabric to fold it over and sew, or I would have done that. Could I burn the ends perhaps? I'm done sewing one, have been sewing all day it seems.

I've been wanting a sewing machine for months but, being the poor college student i am, i haven't been able to afford one. However, My boyfriend was driving home the other day and saw a strange box on the side of the road, so he picked it up (he's a chronic trash picker/dumpster diver, i get all kinds of fun stuff from his midnight excursions). When he opened it, inside he found this crazy old sewing machine! He gave it to me, and we plugged it in and it works!

I have no idea how old it is, but this thing is solid. I'm pretty sure you couldn't break it if you tried. It seems to be in good condition, and it moves...so i'm assuming it works. I haven't actually tried to sew anything with it yet. But how cool is that? I named her "Rosie"...she's got sass

Howdy...

What's the best way to glue some fabric onto a book? I have a sketchbook that I am using as a journal, and I'd like to cover it with fabric. Help! (the cover is relatively smooth - normal sketchbook cover, and the fabric is kind of thin)
