I'm somewhat new here, but need some help.

I'm trying to break into glass-fusing. This is more of a finer craft, so I'm not sure if anyone here knows much about it, but I could really use some tips. I have a side-firing kiln, shelves, slumping molds, fiber paper, some frit (but no casting molds) all that jazz, but does anyone know much about the actual technique? I have, as of yet, been unable to use my kiln simply through lack of insruction (it's a used piece and came with zilch as far as manuals go). I bought it to fire my clay sculpture and found in the process that it's perfect for glass-fusing. Anyway, if anyone knows how, or even where to get supplies, please let me know. I'd really appreciate it.

(apologies in advance for the crosspostings)

so i recently felt the urge to add to my already large assortment of gemstone beads, and went to Beyond Beads here in SF since i love their selection and the prices are good. once i got home, i realized i had all these beads and no plans for them, so i felt the urge to do some stringing since i hadn't made anything in ages.

I got these bowling esque shoes from payless (non-leather) and the stitching is coming apart on one of them. I have no problem sewing them together, but any suggestions on what sort of thread to use that will hold up to the apparently immense power of my feet?

Thanks in advance!

Hey sorry for the cross posting here, but I never seem to catch people in time to get a turtle bracelet.
So here it is. Is there anyone who can make me a turtle bracelet or sell me or trade me some turtle beads? I have this hemp necklace with a wooden turtle bead on it and it is awesome. I have another hemp necklace with this glass stone turtle and some glass beads surrounding it, beautiful.
So any types of beads or bracelets will do...just make a suggestion please....either reply here, or e-mail me at ryan_princes_swimfan@yahoo.com
Thanks

does anyone in here make dollhouses or miniature dollhouse furniture?
i have a dollhouse made of wood that i have to finish the roof of and decorate it. i haven't decided on colours yet, but i don't know what kind of paint i should use on the wood. i have some furniture for it i bought a long time ago, and i used to make miniature really cute food out of fimo for it. i might start making those again.

also, i learnt how to knit today so i know the regular stich, and how to alternate it with a reverse stich to make that "ribbed" effect. my grandmother gave me some thin needles and a ball of nice thin yarn. i usually crochet headbands and scarves so i don't know what to make with it. any idea?
