Crocheting 101...

Hey there, crafty chicas.

I was wondering if anyone knew of some good websites that have crocheting tutorials? Do you have any good/encouraging tips for beginners or in general? My aunt gave me this cute little booklet from the 1970's on how to crochet a simple scarf and I'm having a REALLY hard time making all the rows look even. (Maybe I'm just not born to crochet?)

I can't wait to get moving on some of those kitty/apple/flowered hats... but for now, I have to conquer the simplicity of a damn scarf.

so I have a question..I have this old extra large No Doubt shirt that I absolutly can not part w/ but I can't wear out of the house. . to where it looks nice. . I saw the idea for the skirt deali-o but I already did that w/ this nike shirt I had. . so does anyone else have any ideas of what to do w/ big ass shirts?
