Jan. 24th, 2003 12:30 ami have to read alot of design/decorating magazines for my job and today i saw a cute and inexpensive idea in Country Living. it was a quilt made of felt pieces. i think they used 3 colors and arranged them in a contrasting pattern, sewed them together (without changing their shape, they were still rectangular), then sandwiched quilt batting between the felt and a coordinating sheet. the photo of it was so cute, i think it would work in almost any decor (especially retro or modern). plus i think it would be warm and pretty easy to do. felt seems like it would be pretty easy to work with because it's substantial, more so than calico or more traditional quilt material.
