hi...i don't think i've posted here before, but i wanted to show everyone the dishwasher magnet i made for the guy i'm seeing. (his roomate has a nasty little habit of putting dirty dishes in the clean dishwasher)

i just designed it in photoshop, printed it, glued it to cardboard, covered it in clear mailing tape and added magnets to the back.

Soo... do any ya'll make it? I've got a couple of questions.

1) Does anyone have any unusual and attractive patterns that they'd be willing to share?

2) I don't understand it, but for some reason I can't get the Persian pattern to work. I think I got the first row correct but when I tried to expand it out the new part turned into a 6 to 1. (What the...?) Does anyone have a comprehensive explanation of it?

Hi everyone,

I'd like to crochet a hat and have it turn out to be something that actually fits my head. Is there a simple way to do this? I only know single, double, and triple crochet stitches, but I can probably learn others if I must. Does anyone have instructions for a quick and easy hat?

Thanks in advance!

Peg

PS -- I did check the memories section, but the one hat that might work for me, the link was dead...

Allo all,
I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good craft shops in London, that's London, England, not London, Canada. I use John Lewis on Oxford street but they're sooo expensive and generic. Central or Greater London would be coo. Thanks in advance!

Also, does anyone want any bags of fur fabric scraps? I have a few plaguing my house. I just want postage costs really and for them to go to a good home.

Hi everyone!
I have to make a clay figure in my ceramics class, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of who I should make. Any favorite gods/goddesses/spirits or anything? Thanks!

Do you think a light suede is considered medium weight or medium heavy weight fabric?
PS-
I am making a purse if that matters.
