(x-posted)

I had a rather unusual request for a flop hat. Not only to make it long, but to make it out of Homespun yarn. I had never used Homespun before, so I knew this was going to be a challenge. Halfway through, I got the hang of it. It's definitely a nice yarn to make hats and scarves with. It's so fuzzy! :D

So, curious to know how it turned out huh?

You seriously do not want to know how long this baby is. It was made long so it could be easily wrapped around the neck like a scarf.

I will be shipping this out tomorrow. I hope she will like it! *crosses fingers*

Hi.

I looked through the Memories, and I couldn't find an answer to my specific question (although I did learn a bunch!) and I was hoping that maybe someone would be able to give me an answer. On to the question...

For those of you who make your own beauty products - bath bombs, lip balm, etc... Many of the recipes shared here and that I have found other places contain almond oil. Due to allergies, I can't use products with almond oil in them and I was wondering if anyone could suggest another oil I could use in place of almond oil without messing up the end result.

Any advice, oil experts?

Thanks in advance!

i need your help.

i went to hobby lobby a while ago because all their beads were half off
and i saw a book there that had the coolest ties in it.

(i just know basic ties)

can anyone direct me to a website that has more rare ties instead of just looping and square knots.
(i mean like.. those thick ones that could be turned into a belt.)

i went to every search engine i can think of and i couldn't find a one.

thank you much

I've never worked with sculpey...

How hard and durable is it? I was thinking of trying to make some crochet needles and/or knitting needles out of it, as I am having a hard time finding such that are friendly to my arthritic hands... I figured I could contour them to my grip, and they might be softer than the metal ones I currently have.

Do you think I'd need to reinforce it with a base? (maybe wooden skewers or something? and build it around that?) or could I just make the whole thing out of sculpey and fire it?

Sorry

Sorry for my huge picture last time, and for taking up all your friends pages or what not. I didn't know the picture was going to be that huge, and with not being able to edit in communities... well it was just stuck there.

Sorry.

Thanks to angelcakes21 for the re-sizing help.

A re-sized version that isn't so annoying )

4:11 pm - Sorry. . . Trying again. My room.
Okay, sorry about that bit of confusion earlier. Here we go again. I tested it on my mother's computer and it worked fine. The problem was I had the pictures linked to my harddrive.

I decided to be crafty today and finally got around to making myself a duct tape wallet. Of course, the night I went to buy duct tape a week or so ago was the same day that word got out that duct tape could save the world from a biochemical attack, so there was not one roll in either Home Depot or Lowe's.

But I grabbed two rolls today and created this quasi-masterpiece. After I finished, though, I decided it needed something. So, that's the neon skull and crossbones you see made there fashioned out of filters. Oh, and the little heart on the inside.

It's not perfect, but for my first one, it's not too bad.

What do you think?

I apologize if this has already been covered but I haven't been able to find it in this wonderful community.

I have a plain white ceramic dish that I'd like to repaint. Can any one recommend a food safe paint to use?

Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi all,

Has anyone here worked with the HP iron-on transfers? It says "cool peel" on the front, but that is ALL I find in the way of directions. I see in the FAQ a lot of suggestions on long ironing times... anyone know a good way to tell when it's okay to stop?
