I don't think there has been a post about this, or if anyone is thought of it::::

but you can make your own glitter by peeling off that stuff on Cds. I'm not sure what it's called but it makes the music play... I cut mine with scissors and started peeling.

It looks really pretty when light hits it. You could also use bigger peices for collages or whatever you wanted.

Sorry if this is a stupid idea.

I need help people. I am starting my jewelry site over from scratch. New server, new layout, and a new name. I can't think of a nice name for it. It used to be Silverwind Jewelry, but I don't like that much. A friend of mine helped me to come up with it, but it doesn't fit anymore. Can you think of any names? I mainly have beaded jewelry on there. Any help will be appriciated.

Hi guys. I think in the fiasco to get my hat piture posted no one really got to read my question. So I made the hat you might have seen and started this (clikety click) ) matching scarf. The problem is the yarn's so close to gone and I only have about 2 feet of scarf. I would buy more but then I'd just end up with a lot of extra and I don't know any shops around here. So does anyone have any RedHeart Multi-Colored yarn lying around I can pay shipping for? Or what do you guys think of finishing it with a dark blue color I have lying around. Would that look too dumb? I was thinking I can add a dark blue stripe to the hat so they still sort of match.

Anyone?

Hey everyone! I'm a long time lurker, but this is my first time posting. I just wanted to say that i'm so very scrumptiously in love with this community :) I've gotten so many cool ideas from lovely ladies here.

My current creation is vulva-shaped soap. The support center i volunteer at is putting on a production of The Vagina Monologues, and the soap is part of the silent auction after the show. Anyway its my first time making soap, and i had such a fun time! I'm very excited, and just had the need to share. (i wish i had a digital camera :/)

I'm really encouraged to do more experimenting with making soap, and i was wondering; in terms of flowers and seeds and stuff that you put can put in, is there anything necessarily harmful for the soap or the body? manythanks! xoxo

Inspired by all you crafty grrls (and a post a while back) I made a stand/holder for all of my Entertainment Weeklys out of an empty Frosted Flakes Box. It took like 2 seconds, and works wonderfully. You guys are such an inspiration!

hellooo there, I've been lurking a little while, but not posted till now, due to lack of imagehosting if nothing else! enjoying all the fun and creative ideas I've seen here, lots of great ideas which have had me out running to my local craft emporiums :-)

anyway, here's something I made a while back (and it's the first time I've tried to do an lj cut, so don't shoot me if I get it wrong the first time, please!)

Hope this appeals to people, and hello all! ~waves~

I finished my wedding favors today!

What I did:
I bought plain tealight/votive holders and I decoupaged them with a pink rose petal print napkin. Around the bottom rim I decoupaged a small pink paper with our names and wedding date. They give off such a nice glow when they are lit! I can't wait to see they room when the are all lit on the tables. :)

My pictures aren't very good, and the colors are off a bit from the flourescent light, but I think you get the idea. :) another pic here )

I was curious if anyone knew anything cheap for me to use to block parts I don't want other than modge podge, because that doesn't come out. I would like to find a cheap alternative that can wash out.
Thanks

I think that this may be my first post that’s actually to show something I’ve made and not just ask a question!

My dad’s birthday is this week and I was told not to get him anything because my parents know that I’m totally broke. I felt sort of bad. It’s not fair that just because he’s the dad he misses out on birthday presents. At the same time, I am really broke. I don’t have the kind of dad who you can give a mix cd or a photo or something cute or sentimental to, so I thought really hard all morning and came up with the following gift…

My dad is an avid golfer, so I made him a water bottle carrier that he can attach to his golf bag. )

I’m pretty happy with it so I thought I’d share.
