and while there was a section on what to do with old cards...
i need an idea of something crafty to do with the cards i received from my wedding. i don't want to cut them up, and was trying to think of a way to somehow make them into a book...but the problem is that they are all shapes and sizes- any suggestions?

I had this bottom half of a corrugated cardboard box I was using as an "inbox" for important papers I need to have safe, but in my sight so I could take care of them (college bills, etc). It was kind of ugly though, so I decided to use those swatches I posted about the other day to make it prettier. I wouldn't even have thought of that if you guys hadn't made suggestions. I Mod-Podged all of them on and while it worked, the swatches curled up on the edges more than I'm used to paper things doing with Mod Podge. If I was going to do this again, I probably would just use crazy/super glue because it would be less time consuming and the swatches would stick better. I still have a million and one swatches left too so maybe I'll go nuts on another box!

New member here :) I have a 6 page report due tomorrow morning and I just keep looking around this site instead of working lol.

A little over a week ago I cleaned my room and was stumped as what to do with the excessive amount of pens/pencils/highliters I have. I told my boyfriend about my dilemma and he told me to put them all in a can, and I just so happened to have one :) I tried to decorate the can with construction paper but it wasnt working out how I wanted so I decided to cut out words from magazines and paste them on all around the can. Here are some pictures.

After it was done I had my grandpa coat it with 2 coats of polyurethane (done after the pictures were taken) to seal it and make it shiny, and however yellowed the color a bit but it still looks good. All words were taken from just 1 issue of Cosmopolitan. Very easy and fun :)

I have begun to collect styrofoam heads because of my extensive kitty/bunny/devil/etc. ear/hat collection, and have been decorating the heads with makeup and paint and stickers and such..Does anyone do funny things to their heads? I would love to see pictures!

hi! i'm in the process of making a shirt/tank-top out of a very plain grey fabric... i wanted to spice it up a little bit by adding a black cut-out (or is it called an applique??) of a seahorse on the front. i found a great stencil for one here: http://painting.about.com/library/blpaint/blstencil-seahorse1.htm

anyway, i was wondering if anybody who has done this sort of thing before had any advice/instructions for me? should i just sew it on close to the edge of the fabric or is there a better way of attaching it?? i am pretty new to sewing, so i have yet to master the art of fabric appliques...

any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

I've been obsessing over my sculpey clay lately, and I just made a teddy bear for my mom's birthday + mother's day...[a few posts back...]
So now I thought I'd make beads and a new bracelet!
It really didn't turn out as well as I want it to have...but ah wellz.
do you like? )

...I've been lurking for awhile, though. ^^;

I've been saving old shampoo bottles and a laundry detergent bottle, so now I'm wondering: what can I do with them? I'm thinking about cutting up the detergent bottle and using the bottom for some indoor gardening [perhaps mint?] and reusing the old shampoo bottles.

Does anyone else have any other ideas? I tried looking through the faq, but I'm afraid that very few subject headings are "things to do with detergent bottles!" and I was a bit too lazy to go through all of the posts. -_-;

I will take pictures of the stuff I'm currently working on [a very long scarf, and possibly a nice blue chullo hat] when I have the time.
