I think it was in this community that someone mentioned they had started a Fruits inspired community?

Anyways, for that person or anyone else who enjoys Fruits (a Japanese fashion magazine which takes pictures of fashionable people-on-the-street, particularly in Harajuku) there is another Japanese magazine called Kimono-Hime (Kimono Princess) that does something similar with traditional Japanese clothing. Right now in Japan there's a big push to make kimono attractive to younger people, so this magazine shows modern ways to wear kimono (not like, making dresses out of kimono fabric, but actually wearing kimono the proper way.)
I know this is sort of off-topic, sorry.

I took this little white bedside table, painted it algae green, then decoupaged the shit out of the drawers with images from a beat up old copy of Maus II.

I have this lovely plush leopard fabric that I'm looking to make an outfit out of. Unfortunately, I spent all of my few dollars on fabric, and have none left for the pattern. I'd like to make an a-line miniskirt and either a bikini-style top or a halter top out of it. I have both a miniskirt and a bikini top that I could use to make a pattern, but both are about a size two small, and I'm a little unsure about how to adjust them and still have the right fit. Help?

for her birthday, i made a friend of mine a shirt from a larger, older white shirt. the revamped one is a double v-neck (a v in the front and in the back) tank top. i left the sleeves raw and did a blanket stitch around them with pink thread. then i gathered the sleeve @ the shoulder and tied a wite satin ribbon on each. it looks very greek meets ballet. i have an iron-on transfer of a barbie that's about 3 inches high and about 1.5 wide and i was wondering where i should place it. i decided it would lok weird in the center of the chest since it's a v-neck.
i know it's kinda hard without pix but where should i put the iron on?
thanks in advance

i'm starting a clothing exchange company - buy, sell, trade. very similar to buffalo exchange, if you've heard of that. if you have any good conditioned clothes that you don't want anymore or other items such as accessories, please post or e-mail me so we can work something out. :) they can also be things you've made. pictures preferred! Thanks.

My friend showed me how to do transfers from magazine pages and clear contact paper. They work best on black and white photos:

The backing colors for the musicians are color swatches from the magazine.
