Hello I found this groups while wandering through LJ. I am so HAPPY to see a club with so many younger women who are crafty. My name is Christina, I live in the SOuthern California area and I AM DYING to meet other gals who sew, needlepoint, and basically anything you can put together with a glue gun. I often go shopping for fabric, beads, appliques, etc. in the downtown LA area (garment district) and would be thrilled to have someone to go shopping with. Ok well this is me, great to be here, and I can't wait to see all your projects and excited to share mine. All the hardwork needs to be showed off to people who can appreciate it!

Ok I have TONS & TONS of stickers. I'm talking, I go to the store & I see stickers I don't have, man, I get them. I can't help it. I'm addicted. But... I have no clue what to do with them all... can anybody help? I have too many of them & I don't want a sticker book because well, I'm better off just keeping them on the sheets. & yes, I already use them for letters :) Thanks in advance! :)

This is my first time posting something I've made. I just did it yesterday, but I've had the idea for a while.
I'm big on collage, so I have tons of pictures I've cut from magazines. I used to store them in little letter size envelopes, but my scraps were getting too big, so I went and bought an accordion file with 12 folders. It had months written on each folder flap, and I tried to write over them with a silver sharpie, but it just looked awful. So I decoupaged over the flaps. The red folder has a red flap, the blue folder has a blue flap, multi-colored has a flower flap, etc. It works great and looks really cool. I'm going to collage the outside too, I just haven't gotten around to it.

The files with no collage are words and animals, because I haven't found the right pictures yet.

i crochet handbags out of recycled plastic bags. i have been getting various requests to make them for people! does anybody have any input on how much you think i should sell them for? how much would you pay? i see many different people because of my job, and people are always inquiring about my bag and if i can make them one.

mine look kind of like this: http://mars.skyhighsoft.com/images/plastic%20bag%202.jpg

Thank you to everyone that replied to my post about trading supplies.
I went back to read the comments on it, though, and I couldn't find it. I assume it was deleted. I checked the FAQ's before I posted it, and I found a community designed for trading finished goods but nothing for craft supplies.
I am sorry if I violated a rule, but I thought it would be legal here especially since I have read several other posts about trades.
Once again, thank you to those who emailed me.

There are a ton of different styled Mardi Gra beads around my room but I'm not quite sure what to do with them...I'm thinking either cut them up and use the beads for something or perhaps string them across some place. Any ideas?

http://www.aubergines.com/scrap/

It's a store in San Francisco that gets leftovers from places donated. They have a lot of paper stuff, like calendars, uncut and unused pages from books, cards, envelopes, etc. They have picture frames, scrap fabrics, wallpaper sample books, beads, buttons, and a ton of other stuff.

I went today after hearing about it from an altered book list. I didn't find much there that I wanted for the book I'm making, but they had a lot of cool stuff, really really cheap, so I figured I'd give all the bay area crafters a heads up. You should check it out. =)

i know everyone is freaking out about the father's day deal, including myself.

so i found these two things which i will probably wind up making.

a bed tray thing from objects of desire

and alternative can framing from thrift deluxe

definitely good/easy ideas. now if i just find the time, i can do this.

I had a day off work yesterday and decided to make a mix CD of dirty, bondage-flavoured, sexy songs.
After I made the CD I mod podged a front and back cover for it. I've made lots of CDs but I've never decorated the case, so I thought I'd share
there is a risky pic of Rose MacGowan behind this cut )

hi all, i'm not so much a newbie but this is my first post.

anywho- I've combed through the FAQ and I just can't find it and I know I saw the post here somewhere about how (if possible) to get nailpolish out of a shirt.

the shirt I have is a dingy faded white (it's my favorite shirt from my universtiy..so sad), so I'm not to worried about bleaching it a few times. but the nailpolish color is that chrome polish in hot pink. i know I know..there couldn't be a better color combination. so far I've tried soaking it with nail polish remover and when that didn't even lighten it I put some bleach on it. alas...no luck. but I'm not done trying. i won't give up because I love this shirt so much.

is there *any* way to get it out at all? i guess I won't be too terribly upset if it just fades to a really really light blotch. then at least I can wear the shirt without a big dark stain on my boob.

thanks girls. I appreciate any help you can give me.
