Okay, I posted this post with a photo of some unfinished small patches of peyote I did and asked for suggestions on finishing them. Well, one of the two I pulled out and the other one became this necklace..

one more )

Thanks for all the suggestions. I like the way this turned out. I'll probably end up doing more pendants of this variety.

Hali~

x-posted to the [livejournal.com profile] beadwork community because I asked for suggestions there, too.

well i dont have a before picture, because my parents wanted to do it as a surprise while i was at work..soo.

my closet had those doors that would kinda fold when you open them...they were so rundown..the doors would always break.

so i went shopping one day and say DICE SHOWER CURTAINS! i thought it would be so cool to make em as my new closet doors/curtain type things so i bought em.

thanks to my mom she cut them in half..and put them up..here they are:

Hey ladies.. (and guys?) .. I wanted to let you all know of the good thing Michaels Craft store is doing (hopefully no one posted this yet.). They have a project going called "Blankets for Canada" or "Warm up America"(for the US). All they ask you to do is knit or crochet an 8x8inch square and drop it off.. they'll all be sewn together later to make blankets for needy people!!
You can check out more at Michaels.com

.. This is not a plug for Michaels.. just a plug for needy people who could use your warm blankets.

***Warning this gets picture heavy!***
Ok so a while ago i got some patterns from Sublime Stitching. I LOVE THEM! after completeing my Dragon skirt (which was once a pair of jeans) I decided to tackle a Purse.
I am really really really psyched with how it all turned out!
On with the pictures! )

I know that some of you CraftGrrls (and Boys) live in the Chicago area. Heck, I know that some of you live in Evanston, like I do (although in my move, I lost track of those related postings...hmm...have to track those down...). I'm wondering if any of you go to the Fabrics & Crafts Department in the Niles WalMart. If so, I'm curious to know your thoughts on it. Being a WalMart, and cheap, I spend a fair amount of time there, but find it a mixed blessing..
