I had a blanket when I was a kid ... but it's not like I don't have it anymore or anything ... cuz I don't ... really ...

i'm writing this paper for art history and i'm looking for artists and art that visually deal with race and race issues. If you could help me out, i'd appreciate it. thanks.

all duct tape again. i just love the way red and black look together.

for some reason the handles gave me fits on this one. oh and the heart motif is repeated on the back side.

I'm getting started on my home-made christmas present because 2 years ago I though I culd make an entire family photo album in 2 weeks and it became this huge horrible gluey mess that cost me a lot of money.
So, I'm making these awesome matching bags for my sisters in weaving class. My older sister's is pink and white and my younger sister get blue and white, 'cos those are their favorite colors. I'm planning on stuffing them with little goodies like smelly soaps and makeup. Thought I might enlighten you all (teehee).
Also, I've got some awesome ideas for halloween costumes that don't get you in trouble if your school/work doesn't want you in some fancy costume:
MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL
I'm going as Patsy the manservant (ok, I'm dressing in drag!) but I'm just gonna have two coconut halves and I'll use them to make clopping noises all day. Wow, I feel so crafty.
YAY!

Hey everyone. I have several SEVERAL pen-pals, and I'd like to send them something small. Any Ideas of things I can fit in an envelope, besides the usual bookmark/oragami/shrinkydrink/jewelry things? Im trying to be as unique as possible, and I've made my stationary from playing cards, book pages, etc... but now I'd like to send them some gifts :)

As promised, better pictures & the measurements of the hat & scarf are included on this as well, so you can get a better mental picture of how they are sized.

I made This Pillow today for my niece. Her comforter is denim and her room is painted with stars in the same material as the back of the pillow.

I had a pair of jeans, and cut them up into little squares, sewed them together, ironed on these little designs I got at Michaels, and stuffed it.

So cute, but I did fight with the bobbin all day .. It was fun, I will probably try to make a dog bed next.

damn these obsessions with (not so) ugly polish men!!!

my shirt. it's actually a nice blueish grey.
original picture.
i just put chalk over the back and traced the lines. i did two layers. the first layer was all white then i used black chalk and transferred the black lines and painted over with fabric paint.
time consuming and tedious at times, but the end result is worth it. i'm used to doing this on leather or other fabrics that are smooth and don't stretch or soak up the paint like a t shirt does so this isn't QUITE is perfect as i'd like it to be, but it's just fine.

Do anyone know where I can find a big pack of cardstock in assorted colors online?

A big pack, bulk style.

Bought this darling little clutch for £2 a couple of weeks ago with the intention of making it more interesting...I think I may have managed that!

bang bang you're dead

The bag itself is neon pink (can you not tell?!) pleather and I've painted it with black and silver acrylics, sealing them with matt varnish.

My sister's husband calls their baby his 'little froggy'. So we thought it would be cute to dress her like a little frog for Halloween this year. I found a pattern online and thought it was perfect but then realized it was for knitting! So I came up with a pattern for crochet on my own. I'm happy with how it turned out, I wasn't sure I could do it. With green leggings and t-shirt and a bib that says 'ribbit' it should be pretty cute!

Of course, we had to try it out to make sure it was wearable, hehehe....click here to see our froggy family pics! )

This is our ibizan hound mix, Maggie. Because of their thin fur, hounds need some type of jacket during the cold winter. I found this pattern online and made one up today. It ended up a little too short, but now I know what to fix for next time. This one is reversible too.
