Hi, I need help with how to turn a book into a ... just kidding.

What's the best kind of glue/glue concoction for sticking paper together? I use a glue stick, but that doesn't work so well for shiny-sided paper. I go too gung ho with white glue, and that makes the paper wrinkle. I've tried rubber cement, but it doesn't seem to be very permanent. I love the adhesiveness of spray adhesive, but *wheeeeze*. Someone told me they use a white glue and water mixture, but I forgot the recipe. This is mostly for magazine clippings, regular paper, cardstock, other paper products for [livejournal.com profile] mailart and collages.

Speaking of mail art and collages, does anyone out there have any online galleries they can direct me to for inspiration?

Thanks for any help!

I posted my idea about making my "own design" on a hoodie using iron on transfer's.When I buy the hoodie im going to cut a small v so it's easier to take the hoodie on and off.Im also going to buy a piece of cotton to iron on the picture im using and then surgeing or sewing on the cotton to the hoodie. Here's some optional things: The first hoodie will be beach boys pet sounds related so i was going to inlarge their album cover and iron it on(w/the cotton attached) to the hoodie. Now,here's where i'd like ideas: i was thinking either painting[using acrylic paint:will it last?] the track listing of the album on the back of the hoodie or the year the album was released??what do you guys think?? Any other ideas??please:0) thanks!!

my second hoodie idea will john lennon..i will enlarge the picture and do the cotton thing again, iron it on..and probably put ribbon around the picture.and either write his name on the front.and then a lyric from his song"love" on the back..any ideas?what do you guys think?? Thanks!!

Can you put stickers on a cd.. the front side of course.. and still be able to play the cd?? I mad a cool halloween cd with sound effects and theme songs from horror movies and shows and picked up some cute ghost stickers and thought of decorating the cd case and cd it's self with one or two stickers, but I did not want to ruin the cd, as I have alrady deleted the songs from the data base and dont want to have to make another one and download all over again... just asking!! Anything will help!! Thanks :)
