Okay.. weird question. Does anyone know of a way to set something (autograph) done by a sharpie on a t-shirt? I know sharpie doesn't wash out, but it will definitely fade.. I don't want to wash it unless I'm totally positive the ink will stay. Any ideas?

Okay, i need input. :D

My fiance and I are getting married in 2 months. We are having liek.. a punk wedding and stuff, and for invitations, I was going to make "flyers" out of cardstock and glue little red heart jewels onto them.

So i have two questions:

1. Is that a stupid idea, so should I think of something better for my wedding?
2. Where do you think is the cheapest place to get cardstock/little redheart jewels.

you know those journals that have retro images of women with cocky sayings like, "i'm no housewife" that look like they're glued on? does anyone know the name of the maker, or at least the exact phrase on one of them so i can google it?

thanks kindly

I made this sockmonkeymonkey for my boyfriend for loveday...

*edited* I forgot to say that it didn't take too long to make this little guy... only two hours and that pretty much included crocheting him that camo hat and making him that red fleece shirt. All hand sewing, too!!!

sock monkey that funky monkey!!! )

I finally finished my coupon book. Crappy scans and what the coupons say )

Sure, it's a bit last minute, but I wanted something else to go along with the silly little candy hearts bracelet I made for him. I think I'm going to get him a crock pot, too. He's been asking for one and, even though it's not a very romantic gift, Valentine's Day is as good an excuse as any to buy something like that.

I posted this in one of the lovely t-shirt surgery communities, but we'll kick it back to the old school... 'cuz I'm an old fool. (old school being less than a week ago, and secretly, just because I am only good at making shirts)

sorry again for no picture post. but you guys will all just have to bear with me. i have a whiteboard thing that i use for school assignments and junk, and the border around it is so plain and i wasnt to decorate it somehow. it's just wood, well not even real wood. but you get the jist of it. it's not a very thick border either. i had an idea though, a while ago i made a post about me having friendship bracelets and nothing to do with me. so i though, hey, maybe i should put them onto the border, they're about the right width.so how would i go about doing this? and is it even a good idea? would it be incredibly tacky? one more thing, i made some origami last night out of a kit thing and although they're not incredible or anything i would like some creative way to display them. any ideas? thanks gals, i know you'll come through for me

I spent all night making this valentines card for my boyfriend...

The words are lyrics from one of my songs. Intravenous. They're copyrighted to my band so :p Heheh! It's about him obviously!

new cane.
faeriesque? Inspired, I wanted something watery...handmade polymer clay lentil pendant (no paint is used, the shading and colouring are manipulated clays, something like a reduced jigsaw puzzle) with glass beads and crystals.
I still need to improve my stringing skill, I'm really not a jewelry person.

snaps

Is there such a thing as a double sided snap?

Let's see if I can describe this accurately. Are there snaps that will snap to something one one side and can be snapped to on the other side? Does that make sense?

I made my husband some dirty playing cards...this is the one I can show- Spread the love, Happy Valentines Day!

Sorry if this is in the FAQ section already. I checked it and I didn't see it under fabrics or bags, but what exactly is interfacing? What does it do?

Another question I have is what is that cardboard like stuff in the lining of bags called?

Sorry, I'm just a beginner.
[identity profile] ieatsoniclife.livejournal.com
Does anyone know a good way to bond like flannel to leather without sewing? I'm making cuffs, but the dye in the leather gets all over your wrist, so I was thinking if I could line the cuffs with flannel I could take care of this problem.

THANKS!

i have a 5/6yr old silverchair neon ballroom tour shirt that is extremely well-loved (and it shows =X). it was once black, but has reached that faded stage where only the collar is dark, and holes are beginning to form in the seams of the armpits.

any suggestions on how to give it a second life in some other form?
i would wear it to bed until it falls off my body, but would really like to save it from that almost certain, depressing doom, if possible. : {

thanks♥

They just re-modeled the Jo-Ann Fabric store near my house, it used to be just a small fabric store and know it's a huge store with tons of paper-crafts as well as fabric...I fell in love! My friend Janie's birthday is on Sunday, so I made her a quick gift. I took a few pictures before putting it in a box to take to the post office.

bee-utiful! )

Oh my god. *smacks forehead* What does one make for their dad on Valentines Day? (I don't know about you, but I always give my parents stuff.)
[identity profile] jesamine.livejournal.com
it's my cousins birthday in a few weeks...and i want to make her a present. she's going to be 2.
i bought some giant jingle bells a while ago and would like to use these in whatever i make.
all i can think of is a tambourine kind of thing made out of felt, with the bells around the edge.
anyone got any other ideas??
