I thought -somewhere- on this site that I'd found someone who'd used gel medium to transfer pictures onto bathroom tile. I've scoured the FAQ and also done like a billion google searches (both in and out of the site) and I can't find that how-to again! Anyhow, I'm having a heck of a time getting this to transfer over. I don't know if it's because the tile is too slick or whatnot. Has anyone done this? Any advice?

It seems each time I try to peel off the paper, the image is peeling off as well. I went to kinkos and had a color copy made, so in theory it -should- work! Anyhow, I appreciate everyone's help =D If I can get this darn thing to work, I'll definately post pictures!

EDIT: I used the instructions on this website: http://www.calsk8.com/zeitgeist/acrylicgeltransfers.htm

Hey everyone, this is my first time posting here, i've only recently joined livejournal. (/^-^)/
So anyway, i have a whole load of brightly coloured pony beads, and quite a few star shaped beads and i was wondering what to do with them because i have already made bracelets, and i dont want to make necklaces, but i cant think of anything original to do with them. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance... (^-^)

My first attempts at stenciling. My first attempts at amusing myself this summer. I kinda sorta (completly) got the ideas from tees at Urban Outfitters that I am too poor to afford. Any other ideas for me? I still got alotta summer left on my hands.

Hi! I'm new although I've read little bit here occasionally :)
My next door neighbor is having the windows replaced and I just went over and took a couple of the cool old window frames. I'm going to replace the glass with mirrors, rough up the paint for an antique look, and hang them in the white section of my garden behind the bench! I'm so proud of myself right now!! There are still more frames I could grab... Any other ideas for ways to use them?

Susie: "Give me a V, I, C, T, O, R, Y"
Jerri: "V, I, C, T, O, R, Y"
Susie: "What's it spell?"
Jerri: "Win!!!"
Coach Wolf: "Jerri, uh, what does V-I-C-T-O-R-Y spell?"

My aunt made this artwork for me, and I thought I'd post photos of it in case it inspired anyone. I posted it in response to [livejournal.com profile] whisperfae's question about window frames.

After much struggling, (including stabbing myself with a needle, throwing a bobbin across the room, using a safety pin to turn the fabric the right way, and 2 spools of thread) I finally made a purse! I really like it, even though it's crude.

Here's the skull pillow I've been working on. It's almost finished. I just need to finish the embroider on the skulls face to make it full of character. I want to extend the teeth lines too.

Here's the record purse. I put a liner into it, and also put more leopard print fabric along the top. I'm contemplating whether to put a zipper on it, or just a piece of leather with a clasp on the front. I still need to make a leopard print handle too.

I bought this fantastic long denim skirt, but promptly after buying it, I managed to put a small hole right next to the slit.

What is the BEST way to keep this from spreading without putting some ugly patch or having a glue spot show?

Hey Everyone.

I know that this is probably in the FAQs/Memories somewhere, but since LJ is being weird, it's showing that Craftgrrl has no memories defined. So, i'm asking for your help, as this is for something that I have to have ready by tonight.

How do you get paint to stick on metal, without buying paint specially made to stick on metal? Is it enough to just sand it down? Specifically, I'm painting those AOL tins, to make a custom cd case for a mix cd for a friend.

I appreciate this. Very much.

A few days ago I saw a friend wearing this purse, and really liked it.

It might've been a little more squarish, but that's the basic look. It was made out of a soft leather/pleatherish material. Does anyone know where to find it for a closer look, or better yet, how to make it?

Hey guys. So I am really wanting to make a coat rack for my new and improved room. I saw a cool one the other day that was basically spoons and forks bent into hooks and nailed to plywood like this:

Without any special tools, do you think that it would be possible to make it? If so, how should I go about doing it?

My boyfriend isn't very crafty-minded, heheh, but he saw me making stuff one day and drew 'I heart Kit' on a pair of socks for me. Thought it was cute enough to share :) If it's not crafty enough or too OT I'll remove the pic.

I think the memories section is down....

Does anyone have any info on small crafting businesses and taxes and other laws...Do most of you just skip over those types of details or are they really important?
