PRESCRIPTION BOTTLES.

I have tons... anyone ever did anything crafty with them?

If so let me know...If not I'm just going to throw them away.

alright, i have been lurking around this community for far too long.

i'm new to this crafty-business but i think i'm doing okay. i have recently become addicted to etching glass. (i'll post pictures eventually).

i also knit and i'm currently working on a quilt.

but i had a question for you whiz-kids. i have the urge to buy resin and start making bracelets, magnets, etc. but i was curious how to drill tiny holes into the resin cubes once it has dried and hardened? i have never worked with resin before and i'm making projects based off instructions given to me by word-of-mouth (and yr memories page).

so, if anyone has any idea how to get that tiny hole, i'd much appreciate it. my dad has tons of tools so i'm just gonna assume if you name a drill he has it. ha

I want to create several handmade/homemade coloring books. My biggest problem is finding the actual coloring pages online.
There will be several themes, for the various books, and the first is what I'll call "Mystical", which I am hoping to have fairies, mermaids, unicorns, and other cute creatures. The second I want to be female positive. So anything related to 'girl power', size acceptance, etc. would be great. I'm not sure of the other themes right now. But if you have any neat coloring pages bookmarked, or if you can find any for me, I'd really appreciate it.

Also, what do you think I should use for the cover? And what's a good book-binding method for a total beginner?

Thanks.

This is actually my first post here although I've been reading for a while...lots of great ideas.Actually I will post some original stuff next week after I get pictures. :)

Anyway I snagged the wallet tutorial and made a couple of my own...and motified the design a bit...

Instead of using the fold over latch, I'm going to put snaps on the wallet for closing it to make it a lot easier - the first one I did that had the fold under the strap part was hard to close.

Anyway without further ado...

I've taken a look in the memories, and found a lot of good info on ModPodge and other bits for decopague.

I'm getting ready to tackle my first project, and I'm heading out this afternoon to buy the supplies.

My problem is that I'm in Europe and I've not seen ModPodge sold over here. I've read about some alternatives, including Elmer's glue (not sold here, and I've not found anything similar which is odd!) watered down and wallpaper paste.

What would you suggest as an alternative to ModPodge? I've seen a few people here who are all about acrylic matte, which I did see in a store here (and very highly priced....not sure if the store I'm going to today will have it).

Also, what kind of varnish do you all use? Spray varnish or brush on - and what should I be looking for?

If anyone has any German product names, I'd be grateful, too :)

Thanks!

Whats the quickest (IE, within two days) way to shrink a 100% cotton T-shirt? As it is now, the shirt is way too big, and the pocket sits awkwardly on my chest. I'd like to shrink it a bit, without cutting & sewing (which is what I'd normally do... but this shirt is part of a "uniform" that my boss wouldnt like deystroyed :x)

faux.

something a little silly:

broken image? it has been moved to crafty.myheadphones.org

i briefly thought of dipping the "spikes" in watered down fabric glue to make them more stiff, but didn't think it would work the way i imagined it & i also didn't want to deal with the mess, so i left it as is. (it's a crocheted hat with a mohawk of yarn if you can't tell. heh.)

hello fellow crafters!

i recently bought these little play food things at a goodwill type store, and am wondering if any of you have ideas as to how i could use them:

i have about nine other tiny boxes and maybe four other soup can ones. i've thought about flattening them out and covering something with the labels (maybe a cookbook), or making a placemat, but i don't cook and i rarely use placemats!

anyway, if you have any ideas at all, it would be great to hear them! thanks! <3

My dad looooOOoooves pistachio nuts and since he had heart surgery last fall he's been on a restricted diet, so for father's day he got a bag of unsalted pistachio nuts and one of my pistachio "pillows".

The other one went to a friend who commissioned a pistachio pillow for his birthday!

I've got nuts that make the whole world sing!

Materials: Felt, thread, stuffing, old green t-shirts

I locked up trying to post this earlier...grr!

Anyway, I've been knotting hemp for five years now, and my family is having a garage sale on Saturday. I went out today and got myself a new ball of hemp so I could make some necklaces with my stockpile of beads to sell at the sale this weekend. Seeing as most of my designs are pretty simple, but pretty nonetheless, I was wondering what a good rate would be for hand knotted hemp necklaces at a garage sale? Especially considering I really could knot them on the fly if a person asked for a specific design. It only takes me a half hour at the most to make one since I've been doing it so long.

Here's a photo of two of the necklaces I've finished for Saturday.

I was thinking of doing $3-$5 each and then doing a bulk discount of some sort. Would this be too much?

As yet another person inspired by the newpaper wallet tutorial, I made a couple of Shag-themed wallets ('cause who can afford his merch???), and a purse to match:

The better wallet... )

A purse made from woven construction paper and packing tape... )

I still need to line the purse, and I'm probably going to change the strap from one to two straps.

Augh!

Hey everybody, this is my first entry in here so I just wanted to say hey and I think this is great! ...but onto my dandy dillemma, I have five vinyl records in their sleeves that I would like to hang up in my room and cant find a way to attach them to my wall without messing up the records...they're my dads possesions and he wants to keep them in good condition (so no tape, nails, etc) Any suggestions?

Going out of town last weekend really tripped me up on getting some things done. I'm mostly back on track. I could use some more fiber to be sure but I'll have to sort that one out soon enough.

In the meantime this is what I've been up to!

The ladies are named: Sunshine Sophia, Rustic Rosalita, Molly Mohair & Passionate Purple Penelope! I'm all about diversity. AND I'm finding fiber I didn't know I still had in my collection as I run out of fiber. I have been happy to play with things forgotten.

The boy, a friend and I are working on getting a video rolling tonight so I'm off!

(silly pen there for scale)

i am not a sculpter. and i am not a very good painter. and i should have hemmed her skirt. and i should have painted better stripes on that one leg. but nonetheless - i am awfully fond of her.

i am not certain why she has no arms. it might have to do with me breaking them.

I found this website. I thought since the summer season is coming around that some girls might be interested in this. Just scroll all the way down.

There's also knitting things at the top.
