Just thought I'd post the cake I made my very best friend for her birthday. We are both into corsets so i decided to make her one. It was made from a plain squar sheet cake pan and then i baked some cake in bowl (to give the boob shape) and sliced it in half, then cut and iced it till it looked like a corset with someone in it. Hope you guys like it.

This is the cake I made my boyfriend. He is in love with guns and roses so what else would i put on his cake but that. It is a horrible picture of the cake, but he LOVED IT, almost made him cry. Along with his cake i gave him a gun’s and roses t-shirt. Hope you like this one as well.

Tis nothing much, I'm learning to crochet. Today I made this hat:

I used 2 strands of yarn and a size P hook, I believe.

Does anyone know of any crafts to do with the click-able closing birth control boxes? The kind that holds 28 pills in a 2" x 3"(?) thin box? Mine boxes are dark blue. I used to have ones that were a soft furry like gray that opened up like a wallet with a pocket on each side. They were perfect for business cards. But I'm stumped on these boxes.

Merry crafting!

I'm sorry to post twice in a row, but i just thought of an idea. I remember going back through the memories about the record bowls and how people wanted to know how to plug the hole in the center of the rcord. Well isn't that hole about the size of a hole puncher hole? I was thinking, if one has an extra record lying around that they don't want to use for anything in particular, they could maybe after it's been in the oven for a while, punch some holes out and used the little circle disc to put in the hole? Just a thought, one could either put it in the hole while the bowl is being oven-fied (and hope that it melts to the the record bowl), or it could be superglued or cilicon glued to the middle. Just a thought.

Hey all... I am going to try to make a few pairs of fleece PJ pants for me and some of my friends. I am super poor and was hoping I wouldn't have to buy a pattern, but I can't find a tutorial for it anywhere. I checked a couple other lj communities and craftster.org. I know I *should* be able to figure it out since it's really not too tough, but I'm a newbie and have never sewed anything before so I just wanna make sure I do it right and not waste the money on fabric if I'm just going to end up ruining it! Mostly I'm just unsure about how to make the waistband...so if anyone knows where I could find a good tutorial or wants to instruct me...I'd appreciate it! Thanks much. xoxoxooxooooooxoxoxxoxo Amy

I'm looking for some cool embroidery patterns. I know that sublime stitching has a bunch, and I'll probably order some of those, but does anyone know of any places with FREE ones? I'd like something to do with music, like headphones or a cassette, or possibly some old-school tattoo designs. Thanks!

sorry for the text-only post, but i have a question for you crafty ladies about making hemp jewelry. i searched the memories and couldn't find anything dealing with my specific question...

i decided i wanted to teach myself how to make hemp jewelry. i've got the basic knots down, but my problem is where to place the beads. i've done ok with the one or two i've made so far, putting just one bead in the middle. do you guys have any quick tips on how to get the beads where you want them? i've been frustrated because i've had to undo the two i've made as it is!! it just seems like there's a lot of estimating in this craft...

thanks!!

cosplay

My mom and I are going to be making a cosplay costume for a daughter of a friend of hers. The only problem is we need a picture of the character and probably some tips or something.

Now, I know this isn't the correct place to be asking about this really, but I know some of you are into cosplay and make your own costumes so that's why my real question is:
Does anyone know of a good community where I can get help? (because typing "cosplay" into the interest search is just plain overwhelming.)

The character I'm looking for is schuldig(?) from Weiss Kreuz.

sorry if this is completely inappropriate....I just didn't know what to do.

A new member here looking for some help, I'm really trying to get away from commercial toiletries/cosmetics, the only place I can find that sells natural toiletries/cosmetics is Lush, however they are far too pricey so I am keen to make my own, only I have no idea where to start, and I only seem to be able to find recipies/guides on making soap, where as I really need recipies/guides on how to make shampoo and conditioner, simple to make, good for my hair and natural.
Could anyone here make any sugestions or tips?
Also links and recomended books would be great too, I need all the help I can get.
Thank you.

another possibly odd question:

maybe this is the wrong place for it, but i was wondering if anyone had any experience/expertise with plastic/resin/or vinyl figure-making using molds. i didn't really see anything in the memories about it, but i might've missed something so if i did sorry!

my sister wants to have a set of figures made for her comic that she's trying to put out, and i thought perhaps i could do it as i'm skilled enough and willing to learn. not to mention the possibilities of making objects! but i am pretty clueless about how one might go about this. i imagine you'd have to sculpt something and then make a mold, but what kind of materials would you use? and then once it was made, what kind of paints would work well on these surfaces?

any help would be muchly appreciated. resin might not be hard to use, but i'm just trying to wrap my mind around it.

thanks!

A friend of mine turned 21 today... I worked for five hours making her these martini glasses. I couldn't find any cool ones in the store, so I tried to create some. I think they turned out okay. It was my first attempt at glass painting...

He actually looks better in person..I just realised in the picture you cant see on of his eyes..trust me he has two. His whiskers are individually sewn in..which took a very long time..but I like the effect. Flitwick has kind of the same think going on so I will have to remember that when I make him. Oh and I havent made him any shoes yet. What kind of shoes do you think Dumbledore would wear?

I've started making beads out of fimo modelling mass, and I love it! Pictures of stuff I've made the last week under the cut =) Fimo fun! )

edit: I need some sort of seal on the beads to make them look shinier. Do anyone of you know what might do that? Thanks if so =)
