And for those of you who don't know what a Mark Scarf is...
it's the scarf that Anthony Rapp's character- Mark wears in the movie/play/musical Rent.

has anyone ever used resin to coat something - such as paper - but *not* in a mold?
does it disintegrate paper or if i brushed it on would there be a chance of it hardening up in say..crumpled form? i'm sure the brush would be a write off, but i'm interested in the results.

most of the stuff in the memories deals with actual molds and resin casting..i'm looking for an interesting way to preserve other stuff..mold free...but it will be on a permanent surface (this is for a sculpture)
thanks for any advise!

Curiousity got the cat and I broke down and got a knifty knitter too the other day. Sssshhhh.

I'm just wondering what colour ring to use to make an adult hat. Red seems too small and green seems too big. I wanna make my boyfriend a hat to match the scarf I knitted him for xmas. I dunno...I guess boys would have kinda big heads.

I am also curious on how this chica http://www.livejournal.com/community/craftgrrl/7521244.html made the rainbow hat. Is it worsted weight doubled up? The colours seem to blend into each other. I heart it.

i made a strange scarf, my first project on the knifty knitter. i used very thin yarn and so it gave it a fishnet look. then i tied yellow and black yarn for a fringe. i think it looks kind of tacky. it was basically just so i could put to use some leftovers.

EDIT: i took out the yellow as many of you suggested. unfortunately, i didn't have much black yarn left. but it looks all right:Read more... )

Hello.
I'm looking for help finding a certain type of bracelet. I want some clear plastic or acrylic bracelets like this or this, but not frosted and without the jewels. I want to buy sort of a lot (not like 200 or anything). I know there's a specific name for these, but I can't figure it out. I've tried google and ebay. Even regular circle bangles would be helpful.
Thank you very much. I'm going to paint on the inside of them like those plastic bubble rings with designs painted on the part that goes on your hand ^_^
