Remember the pregnancy suit advice i asked for? Here are some teaser photos for it; I havn't gotten any shots of the actual "pregnancy" but here are a few photos from the shoot I edited.
cut for size, guns, and blood )

shot on a canon 10D with a 2.8 lens, I made/did the blood and my friend Emma did the makeup. Our friends Miranda and Reily modeled.

Hey, I'm Maggie and terribly new to this community. I'm really enjoying looking through your archives of projects and ideas! I'm starting a screenprinting business, and I have a question:

Has anyone applied for wholesale status with American Apparel? If so, please please let me know of any issues/concerns/etc that you had in declaring. I would really like to price my screened tshirts as low as possible and so would like to get the wholesale price, but I'd like to hear from someone whose gone through the steps. I would be very grateful, and I tend to repay my debts with free shirts and artwork (and friendship!).

Thanks in advance. I'll be sure to post some of the designs I'm working on!

i haven't been drawing in a long while and i'm not much of a fine arts person to begin with, but i really like this daruma doll that i've drawn and silkscreened them in gold onto some creme card stock. =) these are 'wishing cards' because the japanese fill in one eye while thinking of a wish, then fill the second eye when the wish comes true!

kitty pouch!!

i made this in the wee hours of this morning,on strong painkillers and suffering nasty period pains so that is why the stitching is poo,haha;-P BUT it is a prototype for a purse design,i think i know where i went wrong with this now and the next one will be prefecto babay!

i lined it with black felt,so it is nice and thick, dont you just love black and pink color combo!!

let me know what you think, please,it all helps:-)

I have been working on 10 new items in a Valentine's Day theme (focusing on using the color red, etc.) and I actually managed to finish them before the holiday. Woo on me. I created three bracelets, two necklaces and five pairs of earrings. I am pretty happy with the outcome.

I've been doing beadwork for +10 years, but finally decided to take the time to do some embroidery. I needed to dress up a t-shirt of my daughters so that she would actually wear it. Bead embroidery is so simple, just time consuming. :P

so i went to a show last night, and i wanted a shirt from my friends band. but all they had was mens medium. im a small. or a womens medium... basically, its huge. i want to cut up the shirt and make it my own, but at the same time, i want to have it still look nice. the original plan was to cut up the middle of the back, and then add fringe, and knot the fringe together, like a no sew blanket for those who are familiar. but the thing is, i dont know what the sleeves will look like, and i dont want to do any sewing if possible...
if anyone has any ideas, id be very happy

i made some friendship cards for valentine's day. some of the colours aren't as vibrant as they are in real life, but i'm really happy with them and they were fun to make! coloured card, craft paper, felt, glue, and stitching.

What is the quickest, easiest, cheapest way to transfer photocopies (specifically, onto canvas with acrylic paint on it)?

I have terrible sniffles right now (what with the bird flu and all... or is it SPACE MADNESS??) so I made a tissue case out of felt.

hey all, im looking for an easy, free, pattern for a cat tent - something like this. It doesn't actually need to be 'pop-up'. Right now he likes to sleep inside my laundry bin turned on its side (he flips it over and then makes himself at home) - I think he'd like a tent very much.

Also, has anybody made one of those carpeted scratching post/platform things before? I'm not sure that I need a pattern per se for this, more like any suggestions from someone who has tried it before. I was thinking of making one with a driftwood base, and making some platforms maybe just out of plywood, covered with carpet or maybe some plushy fabric. Glued & stapled underneath the platform? (This idea is very much in the planning stage, so I would love *any* suggestions or experiences)

My kitty needs more spoilage :)

Heya! Wanted to know if anyone had a quick online pattern for a fleece hat that looks very much like THIS style because I want to try and make a moogle hat :3 Would really appreciate it!!!

And while I'm at it, I ordered away for a Kingdom Hearts pendant a few days ago. It came with a chain but I'm not too crazy about it. I tried putting it on a choker, seen myeah, but think that the band is too big and that it may detract from the crown itself. Any suggestions?

Thanks everyone! <*3 ^_^

I haven't posted in this community for a long while. I spent November writing like a mad fool and December crocheting gifts and donations. Now I'm slowly getting more time to do my crafty stuff again.

I'm a long-term (couple of years) lurker, and non poster, and for that I am truly sorry.

I am a sculptor mainly, but as crafts go: I make books, clothing and ceramics. This is a bowl that I recently made. It is a prototype for a new design of serving vessel for cocktail shrimp. The next version will stand on a pedastal, I think.

BTW, I do own copyright on the design (not to be a bitch or anything, but it is a serious design project for me).

I look forward to your comments!

-Sarah

I've seen these pendants around with names on a grain of rice... does anyone know where i can get the supplies to make these? I'm not really interested in making stuff with rice in it, but I think that putting other stuff in it and making little votives would be so awesome! If you don't know what I'm talking about, this is a site that offers the service: http://www.nameonrice.com/ It's mostly teeeny tiny vials and some kind of oil inside, I'd like to know what the oil is and where i can get vials like that. I found ones with corks at hobby lobby... but those don't seem like as good a container for liquids that are probably going to have some level of wear and tear, you know?

and so it's not text only, here's why I never get anything done:

note the fabric she's on.
