The first batch of my shrinky dinks came out perfectly. The second, not so much! They're super curvy and would not flatten out completely during baking time after shrinkage. I tried the recommended technique of folded paper pressing lightly till it cools. No dice. I even tried placing it back in the oven before it cooled completely. Once again, no dice. I know there is nothing I can do about it now that they're cooled and solid, but I'm asking for future reference. Any tips from you lovely folks to prevent curving or aid in my quest for the perfect shrinky dink?

if you remember my last post, I had some cookies I made.
well, there is a local coffee shop in town and I guess my moms friend brought them down and everybody really liked them so I might have my cookies sold there! I'm pretty excited. I made the owner a little sample batch to see if she likes them. I'm also working on cookies for the adults, because the sugar cookies are more like little kid stuff.

I'm using Versatex screen printing ink for my stencils nowadays
But I am curious as to what ya'll find is the best method to heat set the ink.
I used the iron last time and some of the ink washed right out of the shirt.
But one didn't wash out at all??
Any suggestions?

Today I bought these shoes at Payless . The tag says that they are made of "man made materials" which I assume translates to "a.k.a. plastic." I want to paint them sort of like the Nikes that are customized with crazy colors but by myself. What would be the best paint for this? Acrylic, fabric? I really don't want to mess these up, help, please?

I did them both up in less than five minutes each, the conversation hearts were some I had from a big tub of all sizes, and I just peeled the back off and stuck them on. The dog buttons were at walmart for 2.29 and I just layed them on in ways I thought would be cute, and then used the glue gun on them.
