Sculpey

What can I add to Sculpey to make it heavier? I tried to make a soap dish out of sculpey but it is so light the soap dish stuck to the soap when I picked it up.

Any other ideas for what to make soap dishes out of? I am making lots of soap so I need some soap dishes bad.

You are not dying! Well, perhaps an unfortunate few of you are, and in a way we all are, eventually, but in general, you're not. You're dyeing.

Dye dye dye.

(I've lurked here awhile -- and enjoyed it. And, yes, made this up just to complain about the number of people who say they're dying when they mean they're dyeing. I hope this reaches some of you. You know who you are.)

hello girls. (mods, if this is not allowed, feel free to delete)

i've got plans to start up a new online mag that will hopefully make it to print if the response is good. it's a creative/arts/literary/photography/music magazine. It will be called Philia. :)

I'm currently looking for some help with it. i cannot afford to pay anyone right now of course since this is my solo project but of course, you get a byline, full credit, etc. Here's what I need:

- web designer
- freelance writers
- someone who knows how to do web marketing, source for advertising, etc.
- contributions of art, writing, etc.

Sections:

Music: self explanatory. Reviews and interviews.
Photography: Themed and contributor based
Literature: no creative writing. Mostly reviews and interviews and articles.
Crafty: DIY crafty feature. Crafter interview + how-tos.
Arts: i'm open to ideas for this one.
WWW: an internet feature.
Where You At: people from various countries writing articles about where they live and where they've been.
Fashion: photospread or article about fashion. whatever.

yes, so please if anyone's interested, pls e-mail me: ludwigvonpooface@gmail.com
at this point, i'm less worried about content than the more practical issues but nonetheless, i welcome story ideas. hope to hear from you girls soon!

Someone a while back complained about having a lack of creativity and someone else suggested she try Artist Trading Cards, so I decided to try one for myself. Here's the result:

So I had this black overcoat that I bought for a quarter when I was in high school and then decided was not especially interesting and never wore.
And then the other day my wife picked up a tattered pair of jeans with significant and important sections of the anatomy missing and demanded that I find them - and the antique, lonely coat - a good use or both would be going away.
And a few snips and some fusible webbing later - voila! A coat I can wear to poetry readings.
Problems solved.

I bought some sisal rope tonight and I would like to make some things for my sugar gliders and rabbits. I want to make wreaths or even somehow figure out how to weave a mat for the buns? Any ideas for how I can make these or any other toys?

I checked the memories and didn't see anything listed...

Does anyone here make dread falls? Is there a good tutorial on how to make them anywhere out there? I've googled it and can't find much info.
TIA!

Hey y'all,
I'm wondering if anyone would have a tutorial or some tips on how to turn a men's suit jacket into a sexy, sporty ladies jacket, preferably motorcycle stylie. I've been searching for a good little blazer/jacket thing to no avail, so I thought I'd try my hand at doing a modification. I'm new to sewing, so I realize this may be a serious challenge. I'm up for it though! Any tips, plans would be greatly appreciated!

Soooooo... I was bored and decided to get designing and sewing! :D Made from a modified t-shirt pattern and t-shirt knit. It has one heart pocket with an external zipper on it. What do you guys think? ^^

So I don't remember if any of you remember my post about wanting to start a new club at my school, well I submitted the idea and it got approved! So now we have a knitting/crocheting for the needy club. I'm hoping I can figure out a better name so suggestions are welcome.

I was just wondering about how I should go getting this started up?! The school is offering a budget (but we aren't sure about that) and I have to do everything else that means
1.) advertise
2.) teach people (I have friends helping out)
3.) buy/order supplies...is there any place that would donate? how would I go about doing that?
4.) figure out how exactly to teach people (sense I'm self taught) and how to organize the meeting!!

Help is GREATLY appreciated, if this isn't allowed I will remove it.
Thank you! :)

EDIT::

So the name is "stitching together"
-I plan on printing out directions for the single crochet/basic knit stitch along with leading them to the direction of that one site with videos. I don't have a plan for left handers yet, but I'll get there.
-the first meeting is just a breifing and it's on March 22nd!!
-I'm considering ALL of your ideas, the yarn drive sounds fantastic along with all your suggestions on how to teach! Thank you guys VERY VERY much!
