I have been very crafty lately! It's what I do when I'm supposed to be studying for exams. Here's a preview:

Under the cut are TONS of thumbnails that lead to the larger photos in my craft album.

This is pretty much all the stuff I have made for a big-ish craft show I will be participating in with my Craft Mafia group. I'm probably going to spend most of my spring break sewing, therefore there will probably be another enormous post like this in a couple of weeks. I'm sure you're all thrilled to hear that. ha.

Query!

I've been thinking about making myself some cloth pads like many others here, but there's a problem. I'm going away to college in September, and as I'm living in a dorm I'll have a roomate and probably share a bathroom with several people. So I'm just wondering, has anyone used cloth pads while living in a dorm/with roomates, and if so, did it cause any problems? Did you wash them in a bucket, or what? Can this even work?

Digging through my Photobucket in an attempt to find something to make this post non-text-only, I found this, my pride and joy of October 2004. I kind of love how utterly irrelevant it is to March 2006, so... have a little Kerry flashback, kids!

Good times. Good times.

I am looking for the silicone that alot of people have used to make spikes with on clothing and headbands. I will NOT be making these things, I just need to find relatively cost effective silicone that won't break down and is easy to dye. Can anyone help?

Thanks =)

Hey craftgrrls! I've been away for awhile as I've been in a creative funk, but I made this on Tuesday.

clicky for the pretty rose tree sculpture )

I made the tree, nest, and eggs from white sculpy. Unfortunately the branches drooped in the oven, so I had to break them off and reattach at different angles with wire and superglue. I stuck my fingers together a lot!! The flowers were some little silk flowers with wire stems that I wrapped around the branches and also glued. The whole thing was painted with acrylics. I really like it! It's sitting out on the bookshelf in the living room now, and goes very nicely sitting next to a cross stitch of a peacock that I did.

I was reminded by the boot-painting link of some boots my boyfriend and I painted a while ago. He got one boot and I got the other. He made a bat boot and I made a beach boot. They were canvas and leather militart style boots. We just used acrylic craft paints and it took pretty well.

So I have to send a package out for a community I belong to and one of the rules was something in it had to be green...because of March and St. Patrick's Day.
I happened to have some of the $1 frames laying around my house and some buttons I got out of the clearance bin at the craft store.
I made 2 frames. My person likes cats. So the frame combins the liking of cats and my "something green".
I made the second frame for my 2 friends. I finally convinced them to take me to the beach for Spring Break, so I made them a little something.

So, you have a nice boss nice job with decent pay. But your co-worker who sits beside you is so negative that annoys you to an extent you want to strangle yourself, what would you do?

1. Quit!
2. Keep the job of course! Who cares about anything else!
3. Stab voodoo doll!

I picked #4...

Spring break!!!!!!!!!1 That means more time for crafting. I took an old computer chair and revamped it! I spray painted it white and covered it with a bright green fabric.

quite a bit ago a girl was looking for the kind of fabric that urban outfitters t-shirts were made of. i think i found it... my boyfriend was wearing this super soft t-shirt and i checked the tag and it said that it was made of Tencel (which is the brand name of the fabric, like Lyrca), or Lyocell (the generic name).

glad i could help out.

here's a link to some t-shirts... they are hard to find: http://www.rei.com/product/47860441.htm

These are some bags I made since last year. I've posted some of them a while ago, but here are better pictures :)

This is the frilliest thing I've ever made. I found tons of lace for very little at a doll convention last year.

5 more bags, a lot of pictures:
