Has anyone ever made a suit?
I am thinking about making one and I was interested to know how difficult it would be.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks.

hey craftgrrrrrrrrrrrrlsss. i doubt any of youd remember me, i havent posted in months.

anyway, i have recently come across a large (and i mean large) amount of those tacky mardigras beads, only theyre all in green - its what happens when you live in savannah, georgia for st pattys day.

any ideas on what to do with them? i hate to just throw them out. i was thinking maybe rolling them into flat spiral circles and melting them together as coasters, but i think thatd be tacky too.

any ideas would be welcome.

I really want one of those newsboy/cabbie hats. They sort of look like berets but with a little flap sticking out I guess. (Here is an example: http://www.ezscrubs.com/hats%20699.jpg) But I would rather make it than spend a bunch of money. Does anyone have any tips for this? I doubt I will find a pattern online so I'll probably go look to buy one... but what would I use to make it sort of stiff? And do you think a crocheted one would be really complicated, or should I just stick to sewing? (I can crochet basic things like blankets, scarves, and hacky sacks but I'm pretty good at sewing). Thanks for any help!

And so it's not text-only, here is a sort of craft I did. One of my favorite shirts that I bought at a WWE show for like 25 dollars got its bright blue color ruined by some stray bleach after just one washing. The next time I washed it the same thing happened again so I refused to wear it. Finally I decided to make it look like that was SUPPOSED to happen, so here is the result:

Ok, this may sound weird, but I was thinking of embroidering my suitcase.
It's a regular black one, made of that heavier cloth-like material. I'm going out of the country, and I want my suitcase to be easily recognizable in airports (since everyone seems to have a black suitcase). Do you think it would work with a strong enough needle? I was going to do it on the outside zipper pockets, thinking it would be easier.

i made some earrings.

Okay to all the seamstresses out there.

I have a wedding to go to out of state and I'm a matron of honor. I got my dress from the bride in the mail and it fits perfectly in the waist but I have such large boobs that its about 4 inches too small in the top.

My question is, if I can find the same fabric, can I ask a tailor to insert it in the bad and just move the zipper? Is that possible?

Or can I do something else. The dress has alot of detail on the sides so the back where the zipper is might be the best place to insert some fabric.

Thanks.

So...I have a lot of junk on my bathroom counter, as many of us do. I've been looking for some kind of hutch to put it in, but can't find one. Anyone have any ideas for something I could sew or make out of wood (something EASY, because I'm not very handy with sawing or anything like that) to keep things more organized and out of the way?

I've crocheted on and off since I was a kid, and really got back into it a couple of years ago. I'll try anything once, as the pictures will show.

Hi guys, I've been a lurker for a little while now so I thought it was about time to do a little showing off :) I recently made a Hello Kitty bag for my sister (she loved it) out of an old pair of the boyfriends jeans and a bit of fabric from eBay

Does anyone have any hints or tips to give me on dying plastic glasses?

I want to dye the frames of my glasses [currently green] to a dark red-ish colour.

I got the idea a few months ago, when I was dying my hair at home, and some of the dye got on the arms of my glasses and made them dark. I thought maybe I could use hair dye for this....but, I don't know if the chemicals will cause bubbling or anything?

Anywhoooo....that's all. Sorry I don't have anything nifty to show you all!

Okay I'm looking for an older post.  It was a deck of cards made into a small scrap book type thing.  So I was wondering if someone has the link or can atleast tell me how to seal the memories onto the cards.  My friend is graduating from Army Basic Training and I thought it would be great to put memories from my group of friends together for him.  The graduation is in two weeks so I need to do this soon!
Thanks!!

After looking through some helpful past posts about online businesses in the memories, I would like to further inquire about what you girls with crafty websites consider to be a good place to host the website? I don't want free - I want to pay for it, but there are so many places out there I'd really love a few recommendations. Thank you!

I love this backpack because it is SO SIMPLE and PRACTICAL and.... PLAIN. A PERFECT CANVAS, I SAY! I originally wanted to try to stencil on the front pocket with acrylic/fabric medium and freezer paper, but I guess it doesn't hurt at all to get other opinions. (Do you have any experiences with stenciling on one, by the way?) I just want to hear all of your ideas, because I ALWAYS KNOW THAT I CAN COME TO YOU GIRLS FOR CREATIVITY!

This backpack has to last me a couple years in high school, but i'm usually gentle with backpacks so it doesn't have to be absolutely HARM-proof. At the same time, I only care about my school stuff to some extent. ;)

SO! Think of it this way --- I present you girls (and boys?) with a challenge!
You are given one of those backpacks, color of your choice. (Just imagine it, alrightttttttt?)
GO CRAZY! (or CRAFTY, if you will!)
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?!

quick question about freezer paper for stencils:

i wasn't able to find regular freezer paper today, but found the press n seal version. i'm wondering if this will work for stencils the same as regular freezer paper. has anyone tried this yet?

thanks in advance for any help.

My latest monster bag, wherein I finally make one for myself. I needed a sturdy bag large enough for magazines and books while traveling around on the train. It's amazing what 100% no car does for your handbag/bag collection.

Hello all, I'm new to the world of scrapbooking, this weekend I want to try to go to Michaels and get my first book. My question is, when you glue things like pictures, ticket stubs, cards anything really, is it a good idea to decoupage it or should I just leave it alone? I want everything to be sealed well so nothing accidentally comes off but I'm no sure if thats what your supposed to do? Anything at all would be appreciated.
