tomorrow i am going to spend the whole entire day making paper, for my homemade stationery I plan to sell [don`t worry, i`ll post pictures when I`m all done :D ]

I was wondering, if I were going make some envelopes for these as well, what should I use to make them stick? You know how on envelopes, you wet the closure part & it sticks? Something like that.

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much!

Basil

I've been making things out of felt for a while but I think this is the first time that I've made something that other people will think is cute. It's Basil The Potsy!....well it's supposed to be basil :)

So I've got a flightsuit and it, has a drop crotch... major oh-em-gee dropcrotch, and I want to have none of it. If I was to do this by futzing with the inseam, do you think that I'd need to gusset the crotch? II'm a size 18-20 if that helps)

Or should I just cut it in half. and re-sew it up at the hips, zig zagging over the zipper (to cut it short) and showing no regard for the pockets?

and Oh yeah, I'm on a deadline. :-)

Any of these ideas work? have others? help! This is out of my league.... fun fur chaps, I got down, but I want to give the outfit a fighting chance.

THANKS!

I'm normally a scrapbooker but I've been straying toward making my own jewelry (necklace and earrings) as well as Customizing a white muscle shirt (by adding a ton of individual beads and sequins) but my favorite and most proud are my hair bows I've made and it was my first batch....

Hair Bows like Woah )

Suggestions and critiques welcome!

I've been told that if I want an honest opinion on my crafts I should ask the members of this community. So, ...deep breath... how bout it? anyone up for letting me know what they think of my work??? i just started sewing 2 weeks ago and have noone to share my work with and get feedback from. right now i am just interested in learning how to sew better and meeting crafty friends in the philly area who might be looking for a crafting buddy to make stuff with and share ideas with, but ultimately i'd like to participate in a craft fair. do any of you have experience in craft fairs? if so, anyone want to share their experience and fill me in on what it is like and what it takes???
ok, well, i hope to hear from some of you, but ciao for now!

ps. rather than posting all the pics and taking up a lot of space on the community journal, you can check out the pictures of my stuff on my journal. i will be posting pictures of three reconstructed shirts in the course of the next week, so keep an eye out for those too!

I needed to go to walmart by our house since walmart out by michaels didn't have what I was looking for but by time we got back home I was to tired and canned going to wm.

I did find some neat things at Michaels though.

I bought these rub on snow man faces, then some round disks to paint white and make into snow man ornaments.

I bought 14 woodies in a picket fence design to paint r w and blue, then I bought 14 hearts also to paint patriotic. I found some little woodboxes 50 percent off so instead of a dollar each they were 50 cents each. I am going to paint the lid all blue, and then the front of the box r and w, and the circular one blue lid with red and white stripes.

I bought 5 packs of wooden stars small meduim and large at Walmart. I wanted to paint one yellow for an x mas tree ornament then maybe get yellow putty beads and make a beaded yellow one. I also discovered if your ink stamp design will fit on the star, they make nice little stamped ornaments.

I'll be looking for stamps that say Merry Christmas and holiday sayings that will fit on the wooden stars.

I thought about r w b glitter for stars, but quickly nixed that idea, since glitter in evitably flakes off all over everything.

I'd do better to get R W B liquid beads.

Pictures in no particular order.

You've heard of speed dating? I specialize today in speed crafting lol. Every now and then I pop out and do a little more each time I pop out to my craft projects. I have multiple projects going at same time too lol.

I LOVE the way these snow men rub ons came out. The pics are blurry because I had a lot of adrenalyn going and the batteries kept dying so I was like quick quick come on before the batterie dies.
