so this lady saw my deviant art site and made a custom request for me to make her something with pearls and a cameo. so i came up with this:

click me )

its made of gold filled findings, fresh water pearls, a cameo, and a 7mm blue topaz briolette wrapped in gold filled wire. she really liked it a lot.

Just a fast question... Sorry I don't have pictures or anything..

Etsy accounts.. Sellers, do you find them worth it?
I've been sewing and such since I was about 7, crocheting too.. I make stuff occasionally and have always wished I could have my stuff OUT THERE.
It would look really nice on a  University application, too.

I just.. Am skeptical.. Spending money to get an account, to put my stuff up.. What if people didn't buy them?
Do you find most of your stuff sells?
Do a lot of people frequent and buy from Etsy?

I just don't want to have it be a waste of money, time, energy, and feel stupid cause I couldn't sell anything.

Then I have to come up with a name...Ohhhh gosh a name.. Thats a whole different story.

I've read that green tea and citrus oils can be beneficial to the skin, so I made a couple soap bars from a recipe I created.

Lemon Ginger Green Tea Soap
  • 1/4 of moisturizing clear glycerin soap by Life of the Party Essentials

  • 1 teabag of Yogi lemon ginger green tea

  • the zest of a lemon

  • 1 - Open tea packet in bowl and grate in lemon zest.
2 - Mix, pressing with a spoon to release a bit of the natural oils.
3 - Melt soap base down for less than 2 minutes.
4 - When base is melted, mix in tea and lemon zest mixture.
5 - Pour into mold of choice and let cool.

Makes two 3 inch long oval soaps.

*my bars are setting right now or else I'd have pictures

I'm looking for some tutorials on hairfalls, adding to wigs, extensions, and other stuff like that. I don't have any specific in mind yet, so any links on anything related would be of help. Thanks.

Hey, I was wondering, have any of you used Gocco Print?
Someone just told me about this device for screen printing, and I'm wondering if it's any good.
    Also:
    Any price ranges?

I'm debating whether or not I should construct something on my own.

Here is the second of the Christmas season quilts that I have going. (Two of.... six? seven?)

It's not really the fabrics I would normally use... They are a bit country, but it's what my Grandmother would like.

    First post...

Today I tried my hand at some screen printing. I'm not a huge fan of how it came out but it's my first try so I'll take what I can get. =)

    Input would be grand!
