Dear All,

I am a student who's currently doing a project on Home-Working. I am aware that quite a number of you conduct businesses from home, or work in the premise of your home. If you do not mind spending a few minutes answering a few questions via email for this poor student who's struggling with her project in a foreign land, kindly reply with your email address? All replies are screened, so your email addresses will not be released for the world to see.

I would really appreciate any help I may get from you.

Thanks in advance!!

Regards,
Jilyn

i just got some amazing metal candle molds for free
:D

i want to make some candles
but its sort of a new area for me

i've been using this site
http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/cr_candles/article/0,2025,DIY_13748_2274489,00.html

do you need to use something on the inside of the molds to help them slide out easier?
and
do you need to use mold sealer? does anyone use something as an alternative?

:)
thanks in advance

I finished this bag yesterday - I'm so glad I have extra fabric because I love it and will have to make myself something out of it. My sons say "Mommy, it burns my eyes!" but they know nothing about a great fabric.

My first tutorial ever, so I hope its ok. I kind of just made the dress up as I went so I hope this is clear enough.

i have a pair of pants
that used to be black untill i splattered some bleach on them.
should be easy to fix right?

ive tried re-dying them black with three diffrent brands of dye, ive tried coloring the stains with a perminant marker,
and ive even tried to fill them in with fabric paint,

all to no avail, the stains are still there.. is there something else i could do to save these pants?

.. im not even sure if this is the right comm for this question, so if it is not let me know and i will delete it.

thx

A co-worker found this painting online by Natasha Wescoat. http://artfiles.art.com/images/PRODUCTS/large/12183000/12183683.jpg She asked me if I'd try to replicate it and give it to her for a birthday present. I guess it's a good thing I was sick all weekend cuz I actually had time to just sit and paint!

This is acrylic on two pieces of 16x20 stretched canvas. I should've taken a close up so you can see the strokes and blending better. I love the original artwork. Mine definitely is not great like hers. But it'll make my co-worker happy :)

I was wondering if anyone knew how to make coiled bangles (example below). Googled everywhere but can't find anything that's free. I can usually pick patterns out with my eyes, but I can't figure this one out. Would love to give it a try! Thanks!

My favorite local fabric store had a sale on fleece ($4.99 a yard!) so I got GOBS of it. I'm working on a Chopper hat for a friend, a jack 'o lantern cap for my 2 year old neice (similar to this one), and a bunch of monsters to sell at an upcoming convention. The project I actually finished so far was a fleece basket of vegetables.

I am trying to make more mixed paper journals. I am wondering if people are more interested in holiday themed papers [summer, christmas, valentines] or in just papers that are grouped together by colors and mood [chic, cheerful, etc...]

Well, anyways- I've made a new one. The cover is made of a retro circle fabric and the pages are like my mod and chic journal.
