Hi,
I'm new to the community, wanted to say hello. I'm vsoul; I knit and crochet and am working on learning to sew, quill, and make lace by tatting with a needle.
I was wondering if any of y'all know of any good tatting websites that I could visit to learn how to do it properly -- I've got a general idea but nothing concrete. Or, do any of you know of any good books I could get?
Many thanks.

So we are having a t-shirt decorating contest at my workplace. First we had to win a contest to win the shirt to decorate.

It all started here...

My boyfriend's birthday is tomorrow. He loves Futurama, and his favorite character on the show is the alien/lobster type creature named Zoidberg. Since I don't have a job right now, and can't afford to buy him the Futurama DVDs, I made him his own Zoidberg to keep on his desk at work.

I am really stuck on Harley Quinn's Neck piece.

For those of you who had made her costume, how the heck did you do it? My mom tried, but it looks really weird and doesn't fit right.

So I finished the pumpkin for my mom. For doing it free hand it looks pretty good. I definitly think I'm all set with carving pumpkins for a long time. This one took over 3 hours all together.

Now I just need to start my halloween costume. I swear this group has made my motivation skyrocket when it comes to doing things, expect non-pumpkin related crafts to come.

Usually I never make any jewelry for myself. Tonight, that changed!

Just finished my other jack-o-lantern for Halloween. Made form a plastic pumpkin. The small headstones were made by cutting in half little wooden fence stakes. I then painted them. The trees in the back ground were made by cutting apart Christmas decorations. It was my husband's idea to make the pumpkin into a little stage.
