So, my family put up our new tree today, and my little sister dropped my favorite glass ball ornament. it commemorates my parent's first christmas together, and was all pretty and stuff, and so now i'm wondering if somehow i can salvage it. i think she dropped it on the top, where the hook was, and it almost cleanly broke off the top. can anyone think of some way that i can fix it? i might repost with pictures. but any ideas would be a huge help. i tried looking in the FAQ section, but i might not have looked too closely.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone had used these type of snaps before. I'm on a deadline (friend's bday tonight)  and I thought I fixed them, but I'm still having problems with the snaps. I have the appropriate attacher tool and I've been hammering like crazy, but I can't get the backing to stick to their fronts. I'm not sure if that made sense.

I'd like to make some lavender/vanilla bath bombs... now, do I need to use real vanilla extract, or is artificial okay?

I inherited a some beautiful blouses and sweaters from my grandmother, but many of them have some nasty stains on them. All of them have at least 50% cotton, but whereas the sweaters are cotton/raimie blends, the other tops are cotton/polyester...

EDIT:  I was looking for lucite donuts/hoops. However, it's hard to find ones that are drilled horizontally, so I could  put them next to each other like   O-O-O

It's hard enough finding them as is. Does anyone know anywhere to get the drilled ones?

something like this:
http://www.ashastarose.com/catalog/item/2535129/1987412.htm

round ones - of any material (lucite/wood), and ones with just the holes and no loops are ok.

Thank you so much in advance!

Hello there ladies:)

Can anyone be so kind as to tell me the name of the buttons that you can cover yourself in fabric. I would like to buy some but have no idea on the name of them.

Thank-you in advance!:D

I actually made these a few years ago but just recently found this community. I'm normally a crochet-er but on a whim saw all these supplies at Joanns and made these for about $2.50 each in the likeness of each of my dogs. In case it isn't obvious, it's felt and hot glue and googly eyes. I would have like to have done better lettering on the name portion but my boyfriend wanted to have a hand in it too :(

This summer I'm going to be moving into a new place, so I'm slooooowly collecting things in which to decorate. Means I can get things on the cheap and really plan, you know? I picked up these little bird beads the other day; there are five of them and they're only about an inch big. Teeny! But they also match this really sweet bird dish that I keep by my bed. I want to hang them in my windows.

Now, I'm planning on painting them, sticking a hook inside of them so I can hang them, and filling the bottom hole. I'd like to give them the same glazed/glossy look that they have here, after. They've obviously been fired, and the seller told me they were porcelain, but, he could be wrong.

SO.

a) what would I use to paint them?
b) what could I use to fill in the bottom hole?

(if the picture is screwing up anyones f-list, let me know, and I'll put it behind a cut, but I tried to keep it tiny)

Hi, I have some razor blades that I want to dull and make into jewelry, well I want to somehow get the name of the brand that makes them off of the metal, I have gotten it off a little with a dremel but it seems to be scratching it also, is there any other way I can get it off easier and scratch free?
